ARRIII!!!!  Why did you not tell me about Grissom/Sara?  You and your FatherFigureKinkOfAngstyHotness (tm meyerlemon).  rhipowered's talk about Grissom/Sara pretty much sold me on the pairing in theory anyway, and since I've decided to start watching regularly despite not having all the canon I suppose I really should get over my issues with the fact that I haven't seen most of the canon.  And 4 seasons are out on DVD!  And of course MLN has all of them.  Though the moratorium on AV requests hasn't been lifted yet, which makes me procuring them a biotch. Though there is Cambridge.  Plus, of course, when do I have time?  Somehow I doubt this is going to stop me.

And yeah, I should probably watch this thing, shouldn't I? Especially since reading a ship_manifesto essay sometime earlier made me think I would really like Sara, and that description of Grissom makes me think I would *really* like him... ACK! Am being pimped on all sides -- West Wing guest star playing a character I adore turns out to be one of the leads on NCIS, with the other one being Michael Weatherly, whom I love from Dark Angel... I'm not even done with Sorkin-era West Wing yet! Ack! *does not need new fandom, does NOT need new fandom*

I couldn't remember if you'd seen the show at all ('cause every time I see this icon (http://www.livejournal.com/userpic/15620216/454839) I think it's Grissom).

I sometimes have issues with Sara, but I really wanna like her. And you will love Grissom. Like whoaaa.

And yeah, I totally do not need another fandom. But, um, I think I might have one. (Partly because Paige is pushy -- er, persuausive -- but largely because I *have* liked this show since it began, just refused to carve out time for more than Jossverse when I was in college since I was busy enough as it was.)

Nope, not at all. Though I think someone who'd seen both shows would be even more amused by I am over the Maybourne-Grissom thing. (Though I totally do that with icons of people I don't recognize -- I auto-correct them in my head till they look like someone I do know. For the longest time I auto-corrected Wash to Andromeda's Harper (because they do look eerily similar.)

My experience in gaining new fandoms is that the old ones don't go away; they just get crossed over with the new ones. (All the West Wing plot bunnies my brain has generated have been crossovers.)

Oh the old fandoms definitely don't go away when I gain new ones. Though I'm far less inclined to crossovers than you :) (Though this (http://www.seeking-solace.com/trkkr47/fanfic/grissoz.html) is a lovely Grissom & Oz.)
