So, with very minimal help from me (i showed him how you can search for user by e-mail address) Ken found his ex-girlfriend's LJ. He was reading her friendspage and saying he didn't even know some of these people (she became his best friend over the course of the time they were dating, so it's understandable that he would think he knows all the people she knows) and i pointed out that lots of LJ users meet other people through LJ and don't actually know them in real life.
