Joan and i went to Pinocchio’s for dinner ‘cause the Smith dinner was less than yum.

Then i came back and there was a message from Sarah in Baldwin, who’s buying my Comparative Education books. We’ve been going back and forth on e-mail for a while, but when i called her back tonight we chatted for a solid 3 hours, about such a variety of stuff. I really love people sometimes.

And during our conversation, Jen (the new house RCA) came by, randomly, and she saw my Buffy poster and said “I love Buffy too,” to which i replied, “I love you.” Sarah said a friend of hers is a big fan of Buffy and has tried to get her into it, but while she does think it’s a very good show she’s just too apathetic to watch any show regularly.

My mom reminded me that i had some Magritte posters on my old wishlist. Yay for being reminded of yet another cool artist.

The more posters i put up, the more white space i seem to have. Sigh.

I currently have:
above my bed: Meditative Rose by Salvador Dali
next to the window by my bed: Entre Les Trous by Dominique Appia
above my desk: Drawing Hands by M. C. Escher
next to my desk: 2002 “Play With Your Food” calendar (featuring art like this)
on my closet door: this Buffy poster
to the left of my mirror: Apparation of the Face of the Aphrodite of Knidos by Salvador Dali
to the right of my mirror: the red hat Ani poster

my wishlist currently contains:
2003 Spike calendar
Springtime Through the Branches by Claude Monet
the "self portrait" poster and "revelling & reckoning posters set ONE"
Winnie the Pooh “Wonder. Dream. Be.”
Gandhi 7 Deadly Social Sins poster
Lizards by M. C. Escher
Waterlilies by Henri Silberman

And i’m gonna print out a couple dozen things from BuffedCollages to plaster my closet door with. Mostly Amber Benson and James Marsters ‘cause, well, yeah.

I don't have a dry-erase board, but i do have a decorated door. I printed out "Start a Revolution... Stop Hating Your Body" and "Practice Guilt-Free Food Consumption" from One Angry Girl Designs and put them up on my door, along with my "If the people lead, eventually the leaders will follow" bumper sticker, the "You Go Grrls" poster my mom made for me, and a terribly girly and little kiddish "Free Hugs Available Inside" computer printout.

Inside my room i have 3 stuffed lizards on my computer, a plastic one on my phone, my stuffed blue faience hippopotamus, the wonderful vase Joanna decorated for me (both on my bookcase), and the lovely watercolor Maureen made for me (next to my bed).

Eventually my Escher hand drawing poster will go up above my desk.
