haha, New England spring for the win
Mar. 15th, 2007 06:33 pmYesterday was freakishly warm, today walking home after work in the light rain I was comfortably cool in my brocade jacket, and tomorrow is predicted 2-4 inches of snow.
The best part, however, was bumping into Gusti (ministry intern at Clarendon Hill Presby) on my way home from the T. Practically the first thing she asked me was, "How are you? How are your friends?" Obviously referring to when I had lifted up a prayer request two Sundays ago. (I wasn't in church this past Sunday due to going home for the birthday party.) I had felt pouty that Sunday because actually vocalizing a prayer concern is a huge thing for me and telling stories is a huge part of how I process things, so I wanted people (especially pastor types) to approach me after service with sympathy and gentle requests for details, which they mostly didn't. [NB: I have sufficiently processed and am not now seeking to share the story with the flist.] So I was really really glad that she said she had been thinking of me and of them.
Now all I need is for someone at CAUMC tonight to give me a shoulder massage.
