tonight's Buffy episode ("Him")

Sophie was complaining about how the show really hasn't been light and fun so far this season, despite Joss's claims. Also, it hasn't really felt together. Tonight's episode was a total answer to that. I say "Bravo!" Classic Season 1. And i'm way excited about next week's episode.


Does Buffy's hair seem blonder to anyone? I wasn't enjoying. And the bangs were bad, too. I like Anya's hair dark, though. And i liked Dawn's outfit/hair (but not so much the slutty).

I called "magic jacket" early on. Nice how the guy didn't do it on purpose.

Really liked the way they did the plot. And the split screen thing was great.

The B/S outside of Wood's office? Hysterical. I laughed out loud so much this episode.

Could we all please admit that Willow is bi?

And for the record, RJ = not particularly hot/cute.

Spike living in Xander's closet. Oh, let's watch the fics sprout.

This was so great to watch, especially since "Something Blue" was on FX tonight. Heheh.

Actually, I thought Buffy was more of a honey blonde than the usual platinum color, which I liked. But the bangs? Evil. They must be stopped! And Dawn seemed blonder to me. And I didn't approve of the slutty or of the shredding of Buffy's old uniform.

Plus, FX has been showing some old S4 eps, and Anya definitely is much better as a brunette.

And the split screen thing was great.
It was SO oldschool Charlie's Angels. At least until they got to Dawn.

And Buffy! Driving! So they did keep the car after all! Aha!

AND THEY REMEMBERED ABOUT THE ROCKET LAUNCHER!!!! And double yay for the ACTUAL FLASHBACK to "Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered"!!! And the look on Xander's face. heehee!

Oh yes. He was listening to smooth jazz! And totally oblivious!! And the theme to A Summer's Place? That played when anyone came in contact with the jacket? *gigglefit*

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!! XD *dies* That wasn't lost on me either.

Oh I was pleased. So very pleased. The hour went so very quickly, which is always the mark of a good ep to me. It did feel a bit like they were trying to put too much into one hour, but I could be nitpicky.

And another thing: I do kinda miss the way the show used to be shot. There's a lot more daylight now, not as much shadow or deep colors. Everything is brighter and sunnier and I'm not sure if I'm all about that.
