I like the Stabler/Benson dynamic.

Bernadette Peters looked old, which was a bit weird.  She was good at her role, though.

Especially at the beginning it would take me a couple seconds to register I was watching Bob Saget -- which is good, 'cause I often dislike being so aware of actors as actors that I can't really get into the role they're playing.

Why didn't they just go to the coffee shop to look for the homeless guy?  Though I guess if they didn't wanna lose any time waiting until the next night it makes sense.

I loved Novak bitching them out at the end.  Especially 'cause I hadn't really loved there being three of them all about pinning the murder on the widower.  I mean, I know he looked like a very likely suspect and it makes sense that as prosecutors you wanna build a case, and I didn't even especially disbelieve that he'd done it (though the Internet order I felt like could fairly easily have been a setup) but I just wasn't feeling it.

Once you're under arrest you're ineligible to donate an organ?  Suck.  And I was really sympathetic to the commissioner's precedent problem, though I did want him to make the exception so they could make things right (not so much out of concern for them but out of concern for Naomi), but I didn't want to want that (hi, I'm big picture, greater good, etc. girl) though I knew the show wanted me to want that.

P.S. Oh, tvguide.com....  "Also, Stabler learns that Benson is back in town and asks for her help in the investigation."  Did I blink somewhere?  She shows up, unbeknownst to him, and gets assigned to be his handler.
