Wtf, CSI, wtf?

Also: I set it up to tape in case I didn't have time to watch it, and I think it thought it was taping, but afterward I rewound to see the two brief segments I missed, and it's just static.  The owner's manual says, "During recording, you can watch only currently being recorded TV program or DVD playback," so since I was watching what I was taping I don't understand what happened.  ::is frustrated::

Oh, and OriginalRoomie+family say the free production of Hamlet at Wellesley is so not worth going to.  FYI.

Which WTF? The part where the last 15 minutes was some other episode entirely, or the part where we didn't actually find out the resolution to the crimes that took up the first 45 minutes?

I actually got up to leave when the "switch" happened, and then noticed the time and had to sit back down again.

Oh, both. (Though the former in particular.)

I got that the dancer was clipped by something backstage at Cirque and one of the CSI's was yelling at her date 'cause he let her keep getting closer and closer, but then there wasn't anything else on that case (unless I blinked and missed) which confused me since I wanted resolution as to whether he was in fact going to be criminally charged for her death.

I was unclear as to all the details as to how they affirmed the gun death was a suicide (though I got part of it, and part of it may have been when I was in the bathroom -- mistakenly thinking my show was taping) but it definitely felt like they were wrapping up (the followup to Brass' commendation, etc.) and my new combo tv doesn't have a time display on the machine (you have to tell it to display on the screen) so I assumed we were gonna close at the club. I began to fear a two-parter when Catherine's vision was getting hazy (again, not knowing how much time was left in the episode) but then not only did we spend a lot of time with her plotline but we introduced a whole nother case and yeah it totally felt like we were starting up a brand-new episode.

I'm pretty sure I saw the whole thing, and all I got about the suicide was that sesame seeds = suicide (which makes no sense -- it's all corollary rather than causal), and oh yeah, he was gay, but no one mentioned it even though they were wearing matching wedding rings.

The other case's resolution seemed entirely based on the guy's eyewitness account that she got clipped by something, but that's not CSI SOP.

I kept watching the clock, once I realized that something fishy was going on. I know they like to draw people in with TBC, but I think it would have made a much more effective intro to next week than a tag to this week.

Yeah, I got that the sesame seeds came from the cooking mitt the gun was transported in, but didn't catch any leap from that to "suicide."

When they first said "co-tenants" I thought "gay" but then thought, "Oh but I queer everything." But when he was twisting the ring while being questioned I knew it was for real. (Which was confirmed when he put on the dead guy's ring.)
