state of the apartment(-warming)

So, I decided not to send Steph an evite 'cause we've been out of touch for so long. What do I see in my Inbox this morning? An evite to a housewarming cocktail hour at her Back Bay studio. Woot. (And so yes of course then I sent her an evite to my own event.)

RA called this morning, said she got my evite, 'a month and a half in advance; you're such a planner.' I pointed out it's only a month. "You're gonna have to send out like three reminders. Fortunately, I work with you." Hee.

I'm impressed at how many responses I got over the weekend -- and how many people can come. (Some are even gonna bring food :) )

So far my apartment-warming conflicts with the Phantom Gourmet Food Festival and Rosh Hashana. Sigh. I really think I would be too stressed if I made it the preceding weekend, though. (Yes, I am a hella planner.)

The apartment really looks like people live in it now. The living room has all the furniture arranged, and the kitchen has food like whoa. And NewRoomie has said she'll get a recycling bin. We still wanna get a low table for the living room, and an actual set of chairs for the kitchen table, but we're pretty much set as far as furniture goes. Whee. I should have done a Target/Galleria run yesterday but didn't; oh well, it can wait until this weekend.

Alyssa's going to law school next year (applications due this fall). RA's probably going to do consulting after her term is up next spring and then do a joint Kennedy School/B-School program -- at least I think that's her plan.
