I'm likely to get sucked into watching/caring at least a little bit about the World Series, the Super Bowl, the Olympics .. but that's about it.

I had not realized that the World Cup final was the weekend of my birthday.

I tend to think that Tarot is much like astrology in that there is so much information there that one can always find applicable stuff, and human brains are wired to find patterns, and there are all those statistical biases I learned about in psych class ... confirmation bias etc.

Oh absolutely. I don't *believe* in it (much like I don't *believe* in just about anything; sigh....), but it sure is fun when you get those eerily accurate readings.

I think I'm stubbornly attached to my cynicism, so my reaction tends to be sort of annoyance that people are buying into it -- though if I'm in the right mood I can get into it.
