Teen Voices had a small electrical fire yesterday, so their Internet was dead today, so i got sent home early. And Ellyn has an off-site meeting tomorrow morning, so i'm to come in late tomorrow. I'm so not gonna get 220 hours out of this job. I'm okay with that, though. I mean, i got the bulk of my stipend upfront, and i'm totally a lazy bitch to have whined about the application 'cause it really is an easy app comparative to how much money you get.

Saw Nick at South Station. He's taking a summer semester course at Tufts. We chatted while waiting for the train and then during the train ride home. Good times.

Who's paying? They may give you the full 220 anyway, just for being a good worker & all of that.

The stipend is from Smith. I got the bulk of it upfront. They require (among other things) that you work a minimum of 220 hours, so to get the remainder of the stipend you have to submit a letter from your supervisor stating, among other things, how many hours you worked.

Well, if your employer knows this, they may be willing to make up the difference on paper. It's not unheard of. Granted, it might not be the case if you're only at 110 hours. But if you only work 200 or 190, they might be able to hook you up, especially if they like you.

Yeah, i was definitely thinking i'd see what i end up with as a total at the end and see if she'd be willing to say i did 220 hours when i ask her to write a letter after the summer's over.
