I enjoy the fact that you used your "made of love" icon for that comment.

WORDPERFECT IS THE ONLY WAY!!

And I challenge any infidel who may disagree!

I take my word processors VERY seriously.

You're a writer; of course you take your word processor seriously.

And duh, WP = cult of the one true program. It is the way and the truth and the light -- *coughs* Um, pay no attention to the woman behind the keyboard.

We are among the righteous.

As is my sister, who says that Wordperfect is her OTP as well (one true program).

Even though she insists that we take this waaaay too seriously. *shakes head*

I am glad she sees the light if not the intensity of it. (She hasn't voted yet, though.)

I swear she was on AIM at the time i posted it. But that's fine. She can vote tomorrow.

Dude, me = geek, too, because you said OTP and i thought "Dude, i need an icon," esp. b/c [livejournal.com profile] willysunny posted recently asking people for their lists of things that "are just meant to be." I of course don't have any time to make said icon -- i worked on my outline all night, didn't catch up on blogs or chat with two of my bestest peoples or anything like that, no.

heehee..I'll see what I can do to come up with an icon for WP/OTP. heheheheh.

And of course you worked on your outline! Neither of us EVER procrastinate. Ever! Nope! Not at all ever.

*hugs* my best to you at this terrible time of year - although I always liked Winter finals time better than spring - it has less stress because you don't have to move out fully, just pack enough to go home for a month.

when i got my new computer it came with WordPerfect and not Word. I opened it up and closed it immediately. I'm very proficient in Word and I'd like to keep it that way.

So if you guys want a copy of WordPerfect 11, just let me know. You can have it.

That said, its mostly writers and lawyers that use WordPerfect. *shrug*

I specifically asked Dell for WP 11, and not Word with my new computer. And I really love the new version! I played with 9 once or twice and I thought it was kinda buggy, but 11 just rules. :D

(and I'm a writer who works for Lawyers...sooo...)

Dude, I HATED going to the Smith computer labs because they have word there. I know ALLLLLL the shortcuts in WordPerfect.

I have been using OpenOffice lately, which Anthony put on my computer for me, and works fine, is NOT MS Word (hence its main appeal), BUT it is compatible with Word in case I ever need to print a document elsewhere.

But OBVIOUSLY WordPerfect is the greatest word-processing software EVER. I was kind of sad when they came out with versions that looked more like Word.

Oh well.

It's still my baby.

I heart you.

YES! Sometimes i had to print stuff there so i had to transfer my documents from WP into Word and redo the formatting because stuff always glitched in the copy-and-pasting. Hassle and sadness. Now whenever i know i'm going to have to print from a machine that doesn't have WP or i'm going to have to send it to someone who doesn't, i'll just start the document in Word because it's easier than reformatting, and having to work in Word always reminds me of how superior WP is.

Ooh, that is very good.
