i have more to say, but...
Oct. 27th, 2008 10:38 pmI fail at accomplishing even abbreviated church writeups, but I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the "Christianity & Political Responsibility" sermon I heard at Somerville Community Baptist yesterday.
Monday
( gym )
Watching vh1 at the gym, I saw The Killers' "Human" video, and my first thought was to wonder if I knew where it was set -- even though it's probably just a stage set.
Next was Secondhand Serenade's "Fall For You." I love that the opening line is, "The best thing about tonight's that we're not fighting."
From SquawkBox:
Joe Kernen: "You're a former Goldman. You know a little about the markets."
[White House Chief of Staff] Josh Bolten: "I know a little, but not as much as the wisdom that's around that table."
Joe: "Oh we're really in trouble then."
I got my new phone after work today. (They don't make the battery for my old phone anymore. And can I say how much more convenient it is to have a Verizon store in Harvard Square rather than having to go out to Lechmere to the CambridgeSide Galleria?) It is sleeker than my old one. I am still getting used to it. I foresee a lot of time spent with the User Manual.
While it was updating, I was listening to the staff. A woman named Jaime was talking about vegan ice cream from Whole Foods, and of course I joined in the conversation. At one point I joked that we should have coffee and she should ditch her lame coworkers. She laughed, and I was tempted to press before I left, but I didn't.
