more school talk
Nov. 5th, 2002 07:21 pmKim handed back our papers in class today (all but 3 -- she was up until 3:30 this morning). She said she wanted me to talk to her about my paper, because she had really waffled on my grade and could be convinced to up it a point. So i was feeling really nervous about my grade and flipped to the back where the grade was as soon as she handed it to me. 22/25 (= 88%) I read her comments (never let it be said that she doesn't really spend an hour per paper) and i'm not really sure i deserve a 92%. And i have class during her office hours, so i e-mailed her tonight to ask to make an appointment for Thursday afternoon (afternoon classes are cancelled because of Otelia Cromwell Day). That gives me a day and a half in which to figure out what to say to her.
Speaking of which, why are my 2 favorite classes on Thursday afternoons and therefore cancelled for Otelia Cromwell Day? (I don't plan on attending any of the events except for Sarah Jones at 7:30. But i should take my Romantics midterm Wednesday night, not put it off until Thursday afternoon. Right?)
Also, i was talking to Ariana today and she said Doug is teaching a class at Mt. Holyoke next semester, around which she is scheduling her entire schedule. Tuesday/Thursday mornings, she doesn't know what time. I didn't even think to ask what the class is about (does it matter?). T/R mornings i'm currently planning on auditing Women Mystics and taking Language Acquisition. Those can both be dropped in a heartbeat for Doug. Why do none of the other 5 Colleges have Spring '03 course schedules up yet? *pouts*
