I didn't catch up on any of the tv I didn't watch in December over the Christmas Break because I'd backed myself into a corner with reading obligations -- and now all my shows are coming back, so in a few weeks I'll be more than 5 episodes behind (and thus not able to catch up via streaming) ... and I just don't care that much?

(Caveat: I did watch the 2 most recent episodes of The Good Place yesterday after seeing the Tweet "THE GOOD PLACE is a comedy on a major broadcast network about how capitalism broke human ethics")

I'm not feeling that enthused about/invested in any of the stuff I was watching -- though I'll probably catch up on the CW shows on Netflix over the summer, because I'm a completionist -- but it occurred to me that part of it is that nobody around me is engaging with the shows I'm watching (the exception being The Good Place -- and the new Sabrina on Netflix), so there's no motivation to keep current so as to engage in conversation.

So I'm curious: Are any of y'all currently watching tv shows that you're excited about? (I have a long list of recs for if I ever have free time, so I'm not so much looking for recs as just curious what folks are into these days -- though I suppose you can try to sell me on stuff if you want.)

I am having a weird relationship with TV right now. I mostly gave up all the currently airing shows I was watching and don't miss them (NCIS, NCIS:NOLA, Walking Dead). The exception is Gotham; it comes on at 8 which is an imminently reasonable time, it's ridiculous and silly, and the whole family watches it.

On streaming, I really want to be watching stuff. I want to finish JJ and start the next season of LC and watch Ironfist and the Punisher and start the next season of Daredevil. I want to watch Godless and Stranger Things and the recent Psych movie, and I keep just not doing it. The only thing I'm watching streaming is MLP. LOL

IDK what the hold up is.

I am bad at serial visual media unless T is also into it, and sometimes even then. So, like, I might be watching Killjoys but I just kinda. stopped.

So currently I'm pretty much only watching The Good Place and Brooklyn 99.
