In honor of Pride month, I wanted to make June's work poll "vote for your favorite historical queer," but that seemed like not a great question, for a host of reasons.
On my bike ride home tonight, I thought of, "your favorite queer representation in contemporary media," and I thought of a few off the top of my head and then realized that none of them were white folks, and I was pleased.
My office does not do well with blank canvas polls (people just freeze up) so help me generate a starter pack?
I'm interested in all y'all's favorites, of course, but particularly helpful for this poll is contemporary MASS media -- aka, stuff that will be familiar to my coworkers.
And yes, the queer representation has to be canon -- subtext, deleted scenes, and statements in interviews don't count.
