Jack to the father: "Yeah, 'cause he's probably afraid of you. But that resentment would have had to have been focused somewhere."

Jack to Alex at the morgue: "Don't you want to see your wife?"

newscaster: "has not yet commented as to whether he will push for the Senate seat"
It hadn't occurred to me until then that he could have a serious ulterior motive of possibly angling for the now vacant Senate seat.

Doesn't anybody notice them speaking during the funeral?
Jack: "The fact that you're even speaking to me while your wife is being lowered into the ground tells me everything I need to know."

Alex: "You can't touch me."
Jack: "You're right." / "I'm very sorry."
