I skipped church this morning (because I wanted to be plenty well-rested for the party tonight; clearly, I have my priorities straight!), but apparently it was Christ the King Sunday and our guest preacher did something bizarre with wearing a Krispy Kreme Donuts cap, then a crown, then a crown of thorns, which I take it was about how Jesus' kingship was an atypical kingship.
In his Benediction, Karl emphasized "This is a day the Lord has made," which was interesting, though I didn't quite get the point.
Interesting. While I suspect his point was that every day, not just Sunday, is holy, I feel that saying, "This is the day that the Lord has made," every day is a better way of expressing that.
