How I Met Your Mother 2.08 "Atlantic City" [watched on tape: 2006-11-15]

Not a bad ep, but nothing amazing.

"Are you sure?"
"About the marriage laws in the state where I work at a wedding chapel? Yeah, I'm pretty sure."

Robin: "I never said 'never.' "

Robin: "Do you think he's winning?"
Ted: "I don't even know if he's playing."
And then Marshall says he has the game figured out. Nice allusion to "Game Night." (And speaking of allusions, they don't call Neil Patrick Harris' character by name all episode, do they? And yes [livejournal.com profile] trijinx, I read the most recent barneysblog.com)

Actually...

I know for certain that Marshall says Barney's name (not Swarley, the real one) when telling him that if he splits his tiles and finds the jellybean he can triple his money. And I somehow had the idea that they called him by name when they arrived at the salon where he was getting a pedicure. No, I think Swarley is out for a while.

I also REALLY want to invent a game like that one. 'Cause I'm a fan of seeming randomness that everyone "in the know" goes along with.

Oh, it was allusions aplenty. I think there might have been others, but the one you didn't mention that I recall at the moment: the post-re-engagement kitchen floor sexcapades (awesomest phrase ever, BTW) were a throwback to the pilot.
