How I Met Your Mother 2.07 "Swarley" [watched on tape: 2006-11-07]

Okay, I was primed to recognize her, but yeah, I recognized Morena Baccarin (Inara on Firefly) the second we first hear her voice.

In contrast, my father e-mailed me last night:

Subject:        No cute gene. No Whedon gene.

Watching HIMYM tonight, I thought, "Chloe looks familiar.  Where did I see her?"  So I IMDBed the episode and went down the cast list--and at least I remembered when I saw the name.

Tom Lenk (Andrew from BtVS) I recognized when Lily had that conversation with him.

The "Swarley" thing was great.  Loved the Cheers bit at the end (font!).

I wouldn't call it "AMAZING," but it was a good half hour.

I'm such a geek that one of my favorite bits was "Pupils.  Or pupi." / "Nope, just pupils" -- 'cause yeah, it may sound sophisticated, but it's not actually a valid plural formation of that word.
