I think I just assumed traditional music would be connected with traditional theology. I'm not used to music being a big part of church, period, so I don't have any real background to go off of.

It's funny, I don't think of myself as a musically oriented person, but I'm learning that not only do I want hymns I can sing honestly but I want melodies that will actually engage me.
