I think another problem with being bisexual is you could be attracted to someone who is straight and the opposite gender of you or someone who is gay and the same gender as you, and they may not be entirely comfortable with your admittance to liking both sides and the possibility of what that means for your sexual experiences.

Yeah, I've seen various LJ posts, magazine articles, etc. to that effect. I tend not to think about it that much since I'm used to used to my sexuality being no big deal when I come out to people, though my experiences have all been coming out to people I've already known for some time and I know it could be easy to elide in conversation. Hopefully I won't encounter problems in dating, though. I tend to be more concerned that a potential S.O. won't grok my fannishness.
