I did indeed have a very relaxed day today (Sunday).

I'm glad Grandma thought so well of me/the event given that I barely spent any time with her. (I am just as cynical as you, of course.) And I'm glad you got to spend some time with some of my people.

I think trijinx was looking for "How did your parents come to be so awesome?" but I'd be happy to list the ways in which you guys are awesome if that's what you're looking for :)
