What sort of thoughts would you like? I'm really excited for the movie, even though it'll be an unfaithful adaptation. I hope they never adapt Watchmen, because I can't imagine perserving anything from that book in any meaningful way. But I could be wrong.

I think Alan Moore is an angry man that's always been a bit odd. But it's his right. It's his work, and I suppose he ought to be able to tell us how we can enjoy it. I get the sense he's the sort of fellow that wouldn't much like fanfiction, and I tend not to have as much respect for those people, despite the amazing things they create. That's conjecture, though.

Maybe I'll leave the movie going, "Alan Moore was right," but I don't think so. I think V looks pretty solid, if not completely faithful, as an adaptation. I didn't see From Hell, and I never read The League fo Extraordinary Gentlemen, so I can't say it's fair for me to compare. But look at the amazing movie that they turned Sin City into (or, earlier, The Crow). Frank Miller was just as wary as Alan Moore. Well, maybe not just as.

Anyway. I think you'll get most of my thoughts after I see the movie. 'Til then I'm generally excited, with a side of "oh, look at that eccentric Alan Moore getting all sorts of attention for hating the new movie."
