To me, the crying in NY stood out as being in extremely poor taste moreso than the favoring of sports teams by $diety as being in poor taste. Of course, this could be because as a family of BC football fans, with our pastor a BC football fan, $diety's favoritism jokes were par for the course.


I understand what offbalance is saying about sports teams being religion. Maybe not religion, but I think the Sox/Fenway are one of the largest places where my father's spirit is manifested (as opposed to, say, his plot in Bourne).
