Is it a boy thing to choose boring names? Or conversely, is it a girl thing to care a lot and invest your usernames with great thought and meaning?
I don't know. Pretty much all my livejournal friends are girls, so my frame of reference is pretty limited. I got a friend of mine an lj a few days ago, though, and he agonized a lot over finding a creative and meaningful handle. Finally I came up with keyguy, which he liked.
