I enjoy that my UMass class marks its beginning by turning out the lights and playing a gong sound
Ah hah! I've been trying to figure out if the fairy tales class that you're taking is the one at UMass. I was an undergrad TA for that class for two years (if Alex is still an undergrad TA there, and I think he is, I know him... we TAed together last year, and he's also on LJ). I was in charge of turning out the lights *sage nod* And sometimes playing with Latte.
That's pretty snazzy. Hope you enjoy the class in general.
