Aug. 1st, 2018 09:34 ambooksbook club books: and 2 other books for adults -- I realize I've been totalling kids' books and then noting highlights, whereas with adult books I've mostly been only noting highlights MOOC, YouTube, etc.
I Googled for podcasts to fall asleep to and noped out of Sleep Whispers (the whispering was really not working for me) and Sleep With Me: The Podcast That Puts You To Sleep (almost immediately) Off of a Reddit thread, I tried Myths and Legends I finished Within the Wires Season 1 -- including re-listening to a couple episodes I'd already listened to because I couldn't remember exactly where I'd left off, and having finishing the season I'd be interested to re-listen from the beginning; I'm also interested in the director's notes etc. they were talking up as Patreon perks movies
- 32 kids' books, including:

- 5 Juneteenth
- the much-hyped An Unkindness of Ghosts by Rivers Solomon

- I continue to find Krista Tippett low-key irritating, but I did successfully fall asleep to 2 unedited episodes:
- and learned that the Golem of Prague (Part 1 and Part 2) is a much more involved story than I'd imagined
- I also listened to a story from India (Part 1 and Part 2) and had a couple moments of. "Hey, I know this bit!" (some pieces of Holi in the first story, and the Ramayana in the second story -- though okay the latter I knew from a middle grade/young adult graphic novel, so it doesn't quite fit with my increasingly frequent refrain of "I know that from a picture book" ... and I think I recognized a piece from the third story from art at the MFA)
- Hearts Beat Loud
- Blade Runner (the director's cut)
- Ariana Grande "God is a woman"
- finally listened to the Hadestown live original cast recording
- some of the Girls in Trouble song cycle by Alicia Jo Rabins -- Rabbi Danya Ruttenberg Tweeted, "Hey, you all know about @girlsintrouble, right? Beautiful alt-folk feminist midrash songs form by @ohaliciajo https://www.girlsintroublemusic.com/" & I said, "Well I do now..."
- Richard III (Shakespeare on the Common)
- Henry IV (Praxis Stage)
