I'm reading the second half of James Fraser's Between Church and State for my RED class, and I hit the line, "Reagan, as he often did, made up the facts to suit his argument" (p. 178). I've generally quite liked the book, but argh. And a couple sentences later: "There was little factual basis for either assertion, but such a lack seldom bothered the genial president." Um, it is actually possible to criticize people people without sounding so insulting. Sigh. [takes dinner break]
