Do I really have to leave the office?
Jul. 18th, 2006 05:00 pmThis morning, weather.com said: 7am, 74F feels like 74F (85% humidity). I was uncomfortable in my apartment, though better outside. Sweating when I got to work, but not unduly so given the time of year and all.
I have yet to venture outside again, though, and don't really want to.
One weather.com check:
3:35pm: 97F, feels like 100F (37% humidity; wind W at 13mph)
The current one is not any better.
Eric had one window open in the conference room during lunch, and that was okay but I'm not eager to go outside in that. Especially not eager to go to my second-floor un-air-conditioned apartment. Really glad they're predicting thunderstorms for tonight and (more importantly) an end to the heat wave. Of course, "good" is still hours away [the temperature under the picture is the "actual"; the one to the right is the "feels like"]. Sigh.
Edit: 6:15pm and I'm heading out (in part because I'm getting hungry) and recalling that I got here at 8:30 (when the doors open) also due to the heat. [weather.com says 6:00pm 93F feels like 95F]
