"there are giants in the sky..."

So, it started snowing around 2 yesterday. Having something called “Spring” Break in March in New England is rather a joke. When we were having that beautiful weather at the beginning of March, people said we were gonna have one more serious snowstorm before winter let up for good. The idea of snow in March seems perfectly reasonable to me, and the reality bothered me only because i had plans for Wednesday and worried that they would be foiled. (In typical New England fashion, the final accumulation was much less than early predictions.) This snow actually made me happy, unlike the past few which i have been rather indifferent to. Had that “yay, winter, pretty” feel, which lends credence to my idea that the incessant cold had dulled my enjoyment of winter. There’s something homey about winter, to me, and it was nice to feel that again. It started snowing again this afternoon, and i hear it’s predicted to recur throughout the week. My symapthies to those for whom this weather is not so enjoyable.
