NYC has a fannish brunch, and someone at muskratjamboree this year decided to start one in Boston. Because it started in the summer, it's been more like outdoor-picnic and may migrate to people's-living-rooms come cooler weather.
for me, as fan gatherings always are, since I'm not all that actively fannish these days -- and even when I am, I'm often not fannish in the same way/into the same stuff -- but it's been good enough to feel worth having gone each time.
I'm not sure close you are to KC these days (or if it holds too many bad memories to go back), but maybe we could get together when I visit bff?
