That line wasn't right, but otherwise the writing was solid. And big with the continuity -- both plot and characterwise. The lack of that has been driving me buggy with Buffy. Unlike some people, however, i am unashamed of my abiding love for the show. Yes, this needs to be its last season, but i will not be ashamed of having loved any of it, and i will watch any other show Joss makes, because i am a kept woman like that. I'm not up for detailed commentary on either of this week's episodes, but i'm pleased with the way Angel is going and have hope for Buffy (as [livejournal.com profile] saava pointed out, this episode last year was Doublemeat Palace).

i'm not ashamed of my love at all. i won't watch any show joss does, because i am discerning, and there are things i don't like. and i won't claim that i am not extremely disappointed with the writing and the plotting and everything else. and i won't say that i love all the episodes of both shows equally, because i don't, because some are better than others.

but i will say that even when i hate the episodes, there are only a handful out of seven years -- well, seven of buffy and four of angel -- that have bored me and only once or twice have i not been able to watch for the pain of the dialogue or bad acting.

nah

DMP was better. It had its own sort of style and humor, but it was definitely better. The only real problem I had with it was the appendage from the woman's head.
