I got time! To read your journal! With commenting! So expect a barrage. :)
My parents are infatuated with the Creation Museum, naturally. THEY TOOK EMMA THERE BEHIND OUR BACKS! Thankfully she was so young that I don't think she has any recollection of it. She does, however, have this really cool dinosaur necklace that Mom bought her there. *sigh* I just... my mother is a college professor, a Ph.D., and a nurse. I do not get her insistence on a literal interpretation of the Bible, but *shrugs*
Also, I get really irritated with the way a lot of conservative, Evangelical Christians frame their spirituality in terms of martyrdom. I get that there are tons of historical antecedents for that that have powerfully informed the Christian faith. But when I was growing up, I heard a lot about how Christians were persecuted and how the world was out to get us and how we were a minority who were always one step away from physical danger from the godless people we live among.
So, apparently it's divebomb Elizabeth's journal day
