This is in some ways bizarre to me, growing up as I did in a heavily Catholic town. Admittedly I think St. Tim's also worships a large congregation (I've only been to St. Catherine's, which is the larger of the two), so there's still the "Nobody knows everyone's name" issue, but driving 40 minutes to get to the nearest Catholic church... Yeah, first hearing about Kennedy's election and how it was this big deal because he was Catholic I was like, "Huh? But isn't everyone Catholic?" There were a number of Protestant churches in my town, but they were all small churches, so being Protestant definitely felt like a minority position.
