But Cate told me about Saint Catherine of Alexandria ("betrothed to Christ by the Virgin Mary" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catherine_of_Alexandria)!!!) and why the books had clasps on them (vellum is leather and so expands), and I told her about stuff like, the story of Esther and how I don't think it's in the text that Esther faints from fear approaching the king (as she is depicted doing in one of the paintings).
