Maybe it was stories by women? I remember one of them the main character was a black women, overweight, and the v who turns her is gorgeous (woman), so the women has the vampire turn her -- and the woman's best friend becomes a vanpire killer. And another one is of a woman, maybe black, who needs a soul mate or she'll keep killing people - finally finds him. I feel like they're black, but not sure. I also feel like I read about it in O (Oprah) magazine -- which is why I think they are black women authors. Grr....
