skywardprodigal died yesterday morning (announcement here & here; see also update here).  Her handle is familiar to me, but I didn't really know her.  spiralsheep has a post about who Sky was to her.  My condolences to all who are grieving.

So, tonight on friendsfriends I read "Election Days" -- a West Wing/Star Trek fusion by Raven [LJ/DW].  Which reminded me of the CJ runs for President fic ("Life Less Ordinary" by bluflamingo).
